0012. FIRST SPROUTS
First Conscience sprouts were noticed today. It is interesting that there are more Conscience sprouts from promoters than from artists. At least for now. There is a strong wind.

0010. ”BEGINNING“. SUMMING-UP.
0010_01. The Biennial’s “BEGINNING” became the history of this project, which is recorded in digital files in a moment of present time.
0010_02. The new and the old communication bridges were tried one more time – from internet telephony to simple smile.
0010_03. From now on the Biennial NOW ART NOW FUTURE will be united and its cultural weight will be evaluated by the four Lithuanian towns, not three.
0010_04. 2007-05-03 we started counting how much time is left until the Workshop No. 1.

The webpage of the Biennial is presented: www.nowart.eu. The artists can find the participation form, concept, the bulletins of the Biennial and other information on the webpage. The authors of the webpage are creative group „Mamaika“ - Eglė Petreikiene and Darius Petreikis, who challenged their professional abilities and implemented the idea – they created the webpage, which reflects the modern idea of the print Biennial in terms of its design and software. The famous aprons were also tied on the computer graphic artists. They are worth it.
0006. OLGA MIKULINA.
0006_01. She is one of the four winners of the 1st NOW ART NOW FUTURE Biennial FREEDOM (2006)
0006_02. During the Biennial FREEDOM there was a Workshop in Panevezys Correctional Institution for Women. The graphic artists Egle Vertelkaite, Jūrate Rekeviciute, Evaldas Mikalauskis taught these women to carve flax, etching techniques and sealing making. One of them was Olga “I will be an artist” said Olga Mikulina then.
0006_03. Now Olga is free. The Biennial helped to make Olga’s dream come true – she presented her works in her first exhibition.
0006_04. The graphics’ apron was tied on Olga – she was included into the professional graphics’ circle.
0006_05. The period was put with this event in the Biennial FREEDOM.
0005. ŠIAULIAI. GALERY ”LAIPTAI“
2007-05-03 the exhibition of Olga Mikulina’s works was opened. 14 colored and black, and white graphic works were presented. The graphic artist Edmundas Birgela helped Olga Mikulina with her works in Siauliai. One work was bought by the gallery, the gallery wanted to support the beginner artist. The director of the gallery Janina Alisauskiene and the art critic Professor Vytenis Rimkus made speeches during the opening. The clapping from Kaunas via internet contributed to the ones in Siauliai.
0004. KAUNAS – ŠIAULIAI LIVE.
Thanks to Teo LT Kaunas and Siauliai were connected by the videoconference live. Both cities, graphic admirers and artists were greeting each other for a couple of hours. We are thanking the specialists of Teo in Vilnius, Kaunas and Siauliai.
0003. ”CONSCIENCE“. KAUNAS. VILNIUS.
The organizer, graphic artist Jurate Rekeviciute invited the promoters and creators to contribute to the 1st Biennial creation ”Conscience” – to spread various seeds into the bags of soil. There is no such word ”Conscience” in the concept. Perhaps, ”PRESENT TIME” lacks it. The authors of the ”Conscience” are Valdas Kaminskas, director of Communication Department in Teo LT, Audra Kauspiediene, architect, and businesswomen Rita Valdemara Kazlauskiene and Dalia Kavaliauskiene. The Vice Mayor of Kaunas city Rimas Mikaitis tied down the bag. The artists: graphic artists Evaldas Mikalauskis and Jūrate Pikcilingyte, painter Violeta Juodzeviciene, art critic Danute Zoviene.
”Conscience” is kept and watered in Vilnius. We are anticipating for the first sprouts.
0002. CONCEPT. KAUNAS.
The concept of the Biennial and its video version were presented to the artists, promoters and public. The curators described PRESENT TIME in 141 words. It allows treating the topic of the Biennial very widely. It also allows choosing one word of the concept for the name of the work. There are so many words insofar. Neither too much, nor too little.
