Print Biennial NOW ART NOW FUTURE is non-commercial and personal initiative of the creators’ group. The Biennial is implemented thanks to the efforts of organizers, colleagues, partners, friends, supporters, you and all good willed people. The Biennial takes place by the courtesy of your ideological and material support, kindness, awareness of the culture significance in modern society. Wishing for something does not cost anything. AIMS OF BIENIAL To develop the graphic art/ To encourage progressive cultural processes / To disseminate modern cultural ideas / To encourage the rise of new graphic art and other types of art / To present clear, concentrated, modern concepts of art / To emphasize the social, moral and creative authority of the artist / To provide the feeling of active creator to the Biennial audience / To expand the circle of culture consumers, to educate the society.
THE MAIN MESSAGE
We live, create, feel, consume faster and in a tighter space than we used to yesterday. The relation between the individual and the society has changed. The scale of moral virtues has changed. Everyone has a possibility to spread news. Talent and individualism are the virtues among the abundance of similar features.
Artists of different spheres participate in the Biennial – graphics, painters, sculptors, musicians, actors, DJs, video artists, whose attitudes towards GRAPHIC STAMP AND TIME are interesting to the organizers.
The Biennial takes place in TIME and lasts for a year: from 2007-05-03 until 2008-05-07.
The participants and the organizers are going to record the artistic processes in various digital files (telephones, photos, videos). This material will become concurrent part of the exhibitions of the Biennial. The creation processes and the events will be available on internet live.
The important part of the Biennial – public workshops of the masters, which are demonstrative, open and joint with the audience. The culmination of the Biennial is going to be the openings of Lithuanian and foreign artists‘exhibitions in Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipeda, Siauliai on May 3-5, 2008.
The Biennial is going to be presented in Lithuania and abroad. We hope that You will be as interested, as a year or two years ago. We have no doubts about the significance of the Biennial events to the cultural life, graphic art and culture development in Lithuania.
